SHEEP

Every choice is its own betrayal

A gritty blend of domestic noir, psychological fiction set in 1972 New Orleans, Twenty-year-old Eve is a foot soldier for local crime boss Carlos Marcello, running rackets to earn enough money to care for her institutionalized mother. But her carefully constructed world begins to unravel when trailblazing FBI Agent Elizabeth Levy uncovers her role in the mob. Levy aims to flip Eve as her informant to dismantle Marcello’s empire—but pulling her in could cost them both everything.

The story launches with immediate stakes and tension, and throughout explores the clash of loyalty and integrity in a world where trust is fragile and every decision becomes its own betrayal. A mafia story told through women’s eyes, it’s about power, loyalty, and survival in a world built to shut them out. SHEEP shifts the focus from mobsters as tragic heroes to heroines navigating impossible choices within their world—holding the line between integrity, loyalty, and corruption.

Author's note:

SHEEP is that one story every writer has—the one that refuses to lie down and shut up. It’s been to the brink of publishing and production more than once, spent two years locked in contract limbo, and gone through more versions than I care to count. Each time, it got trampled in the revolving door of corporate indecision… only to spin back to me like it never left.

My publishing path has war stories, but it looks like it may finally happen. I'd love for you to follow the journey into Sheep.
